Vrinda Kunja

Welcome To Vrinda Kunja

We are in Vrindavan, India, the city of five thousand temples, working hard in an exemplary community called Vrinda Kunja. This amazing place is located 150 km from Delhi and 10 km from Mathura city, in a unique mystic environment that allows you to be connected with nature and your inner self.

The Vrinda Kunja ashram (temple) was founded by Swami Bhakti Alok Paramadvati and residents who follow the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition. One is able to volunteer in many ways that improve our service to the local community while allowing us to deepen our spiritual practice through activities such as daily meditadion and kirtan. In our Ashram you will learn about Hatha Yoga, read the ancient scriptures of Vedic philosophy, meditate on the Mahamantra: Hare Krishna as prescribed by Lord Chaitanya, participate in a variety of workshops and make many new friends from different cultures.
The Vrinda Kunja community accepts all volunteers regardless of faith, as long as they abide by ashram rules. As part of the sadhana (spiritual routine), these rules include: modest dress, vegetarianism, no drugs or alcohol, and no illicit sex. Following these rules helps nourish the mind, body and soul. We welcome all those who wish to expand their awareness.
